Custer State Park Ride

71,000 acres in the Black Hills, Custer State Park is one hell of a place to ride. For this ride please pick two out of the three. All three are tight for one day.

If weather is inclement, we’ll be picking the first two. Iron Mountain is called Iron Mountain for a reason and if lightning is in the mix we don’t want to be there. The loop is great but long and at the wrong end of the park for a fast head for home. Just saying.

Ok that said.

We’ll meet at the Sidehack in Sturgis kickstands up at 8:30 be gassed. The Sidehack has a decent breakfast. Some even call it good.

End up at the Loud American.

This could be 200 miles with experience needed to maneuver some of the corners.

The Needles Highway

The Needles Highway is a spectacular ride. The scenery is all its own with rugged granite needle-like formations and world-famous tunnels.

We’ll lead you through the legendary highway with stops for pictures. You won’t want to miss getting a pic of your ride through the tunnels!

Wildlife Loop Road

Don’t hug the Buffalo! We just may come face to face with 1,350 free roaming buffalo! The number one inhabitant of the park. Others include deer and elk. We may even see a big horn sheep or even maybe a mountain lion.

Oh… and more Burros.

Iron Mountain Road

Tunnels, tunnels, and more tunnels! Plus, Pigtail Bridges what more could you want? Iron Mountain Road

passes through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Black Hills, with tunnels that frame Mount Rushmore in the distance. And did I mention… Burros? Yep there are burros and an occasional Buffalo along with other critters.
